I will be on HSN (Home Shopping Network) tomorrow (Thursday 9/13) at 9 am and 9 pm (EST), for SAMY hair products again. Both shows will be live. Parental guidance is suggested (by me). SAMY (the man) can be a little suggestive with his use of puns. That's all I'll say about that. So wave to me, and I just might wave back! LOL!
Please pray for me as I go into an environment that is in need of prayer, that I might let my light shine in the darkness. Thanks!
Who would you trust with your life?
I would (and do) trust JESUS CHRIST. All humans are fallible.
Where did the "my blog" option under the "my vox" pulldown option go?? Mine just disappeared, and I don't like it.
This is so beautiful. I hope you are as blessed by it as I was. I am still in my tear puddle here. It reminds me of the dramas my old church, Stevens Creek Community Church, in Augusta, GA used to put together. Looks like it was done by a Willow Creek Church.
Clowns: delightful or terrifying?
Delightful - - until Stephen King and the Insane Clown Posse ruined it for everyone.

It's right around the corner. I mean in a week and a half. According to this article and its references, our Lord Jesus Christ was born on Friday, September 6th.
There seem to be conflicting views on whether he was born in September or April, but most I've looked at say September. So we continue to celebrate in December for what reason? Because commercially we are conditioned to do so? Because we don't want to change tradition? Because it will upset the children? Because we will be out of the norm?
Personally, I'm inclined to celebrate Winter Holiday along with the pagans in December, but celebrate "the way and the truth and the life" in September.
Wait, I said I was inclined to. Don't hold me to it.
When we moved from another state and before I could find a church, we did homechurch. We did praise and worship and dance, prayer, and fun time for Emma in the Bible and coloring things that make her think of Jesus, etc. We could do it anywhere - on the boat, on the beach, in a park, in our backyard, in our house. I did end up finding a church I like, but what I like most is the bible teaching during the service and my home fellowship group, which meets on Thursday nights.
I talked to a guy in my 12-step meeting last night who I knew was a Christian. I could tell when he so skillfully inserted scripture into whatever he shared each week. But he does so in a very nonthreatening way, referring to the reading as a "spiritual reading". I had the feeling the guy didn't go to a church, and when I asked him last night, that was exactly true. He studies the companion bible and goes along with www.shepherdschapel.org He said church drove him crazy so he stopped going.
I am fortunate to be with a great group of believers, but I do understand that a lot of people also go crazy from the church mentality. There is so much ritual created by man, and expectations and have-to's and junk that Jesus doesn't require of us. My conversation with him got me thinking.
So if we follow Christ in our thoughts and our walk, study his word, share our faith, tithe to THE CHURCH (the original definition), let our light shine in the darkness, fellowship with other believers, and praise and worship him in song and prayer, what more is required? Do we really need to go to a church building and do the church thing?
